House Report

Dale Brogan installed a trap in the tub plumbing.  The Lone Mountain House was pressure washed just before the Great Payne Family Reunion in June.

In the fall, Frank and Amy Potts spent eight weeks at the LMH while Frank received medical treatments in Knoxville.  In lieu of paying User Fees, they paid all the bills that came due in the last quarter of the year, including the 2015 Property Taxes.  They also had the dryer repaired, and funded an extensive electrical upgrade of the bathhouse by Miracle Electric.  In all $2715.79 was spent on the house in trade for lodging.  Amy also did a thorough cleaning and organizing job.

Linda Westphal and most of her family spent Thanksgiving at Lone Mountain.  The house smiles when it is full of children.

The reunion was a great success.  Over 84 descendants of Byrd and A Payne were in attendance, along with several other guests of the family.  It was a wonderful occasion and enjoyed by all, particularly the younger family members.  The old house was not just smiling – I am convinced she was laughing out loud!

Club Report

Even with the Pottses covering all fourth quarter expenses, there was a shortfall for both regular expenses.  A $1000 deficit for the Reunion, further depleted our, usually healthy, checking account.  The realization was that we vastly undercharged for the Reunion, a fact we will remember going forward.
