It seems we are saying too many goodbyes these days to the grandchildren of Byrd and A. Most recently, John Stockwell, the son of their youngest daughter, Kathleen, died after a long battle with cancer. A memorial service was held in Toledo, Ohio on May 6, and his children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters expressed their warm and loving tributes to John as they celebrated his life.
John’s daughter Lara Wilson is a Member and officer of Club Payne. Along with John’s younger daughter, Andrea, and his wife of 51 years, Chrissy, Lara helped take loving care of John during his last months.
Club Payne and all the Payne cousins send their deepest sympathy to the Stockwell family; especially to Chrissy, who has always been a true ray of sunshine in our family.
